This is a super simple technique for creating a rag quilt in strips instead of squares. It has the added bonus of being constructed with a pocket on the bottom to tuck under the foot of the stroller and ties at the top to keep it attached. The pocket is formed by folding up the end of the blanket and attaching 4 buttons and buttonholes. Students can choose to make a larger sized flat blanket instead.
The pattern and instructions will be supplied during class. See the supply list below for fabric requirements.
This class is 2.5 hours.
Some sewing experience is required for this class but it is a good beginner project. They should be comfortable operating their machine and stitching straight seams.

Fabric: Flannel Only - Stroller Blanket (27"x45") - 4 half yards of coordinating prints; Full Size Blanket(45"x45")- 6 half yards of coordinating prints.
Matching Thread
4 regular or shank buttons or "ready to cover" buttons sized 3/4" to 1"
Size 16 Denim or Microtext machine needle
Walking Foot (one can be provided if you don't have one for your machine)
