Making Simple Curtains
Learn to make your own unique window fashions and save money in the process. Commercial curtain panels can be expensive and the fabric choices are limited. The simple techniques learned in this class will have you redecorating in no time!
Some sewing experience is required for this class. Students must be able to thread their machine, fill and change the bobbin and sew a simple seam. This class is 2 1/2 hours.
Fees:
Group class (2-5 people) $25 per class Machine rental $10 per class

Students will learn:
- How to measure and calculate required yardage
- How to construct lined and unlined curtain panels and valances of several styles: rod pocket, rod pocket with heading, box pleat
- Different hemming techniques

Supplies needed:
- 1 yard of lightweight inexpensive fabric at least 44" wide
- White thread
- Blind hem stitch presser foot if your machine came with one (check your manual)
