Do you love to make purses and bags? Want to learn more techiques or enjoy the inspiration of sewing in a group enviroment? Then this is the group for you! The Purse Group meets once a month at The Stitching Studio. A new project will be
presented each month. You can do the purse of the month or bring your own project to complete. Patterns are available when required at an additional charge.
Participants must be a confident beginner, know the functions of their machine and be able to sew independently.
Note: Minimum age is 15. Class fees must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. Pay online using the links below or email classes@austinstitchingstudio.com to make other payment arrangements.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Refunds for missed classes are in the form of class credit for a future class only. You must notify me by email at least one week in advance to receive a class credit. This allows me time to sign up another student in your place in the missed class.

Project: Easy Beach Tote
This is the perfect beginner project! This tote has no stabilizers and super easy construction. You can really show
off your choice of fabric - shown here are 4 different fabrics from Amy Butler's "Love" collection of quilting cotton. It's big enough to carry all your
beach supplies but versatile enough to use everyday as well. The strap can be made long to carry cross body or shorter for a
regular shoulder bag length. No pattern required - it's just a square!
Supply list:
- 2 yards medium weight woven fabric - can be 8 fat quarters or 4 half yards or 2 one yard cuts
- 1 yard 1" wide elastic
- matching thread
