Beginner Sewing 101
This 3.5 hour beginner intensive class will teach you the basic functions of your sewing machine, how to fill a bobbin and thread the machine, how to stitch straight seams, seam finishing techniques, troubleshooting, basic sewing tools and online resources for additional learning.
After this class, you will be ready to tackle any class offered here at The Stitching Studio. You'll make a drawstring bag to take home.
If you have your own portable machine, please bring it with the instruction manual, accessories and an empty bobbin. Otherwise, there are machines available to use for a fee. All other supplies and tools will be provided during class.
Fees:
Group class (2-6 people) $40 per class
Machine rental $10 per class
Note: Class fees must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. Pay online using the links below or email classes@austinstitchingstudio.com to make other payment arrangements.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Refunds for missed classes are in the form of class credit for a future class only. You must notify me by email at least one week in advance to receive a class credit. This allows me time to sign up another student in your place in the missed class.
