This class is 3 hours.
Some sewing experience is required for this class. Students must be able to thread their machine, fill and change the bobbin and sew a simple seam.

Supplies:
- Basic sewing supplies (scissors, thread scissors, thread, marking pen, sewing pins, etc...)
- Notions: One 18mm Magnetic Snap and Fabric Glue (e.g. FabriTac)
- It is recommended that you use decor weight fabric, or a medium to heavy weight fabric
- Print Fabric: 3/8 yard decor weight
- Solid Fabric: 3/4 yard decor weight
- Lining: 1/2 yard decor weight
- Fusible Fleece 3/8 yard.
- Fusible Heavyweight Interfacing (e.g. Craft Fuse): 1 1/8 yard
Supply Kit: Includes magnetic snap, and both interfacings pre-cut: $8.00

Anne Marie Beard is a 5th generation Austinite and loves all things artistic. Her first sewing project was a tube top at age four. Many years later she graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Costume Design. Anne Marie now designs handbags, accessories and home decor items as an expression of her love of life and art. She uses vintage fabrics, findings and original designs to create limited edition wearable art. Her favorite artist is Erte, and she enjoys fresh flowers, blues music, tap dance and very spicy food. She is currently working on a line of purse patterns for sale, and is very excited to begin teaching with The Stitching Studio.
