Classes New location! As of March 1, 2011, we are located at 12411 Hymeadow Drive Bldg 3 Suite C in The Anderson Mill Medical Center complex in Austin, Texas. Our sewing classes are hands-on learning for adults using their own machine or renting one of ours. Other craft classes are sometimes offered as demonstration and lecture at a reduced cost. Check the Calendar to see what is currently being offered or check Classes to see all the classes available. Email to let us know if you want to take a class not currently on the calendar.

What is Thread-Bare? Thread-Bare is a DIY thrift store with offering new, vintage and used fabric and craft supplies. It's a result of receiving many wonderful donations to the Charity Craft Volunteer Network that operates out of the studio. We sell items we can't use in our charity sewing to buy needed supplies. These items are available during regularly scheduled classes and special events only.
